The Community Based Tourism Network in Latin America is an articulation between traditional populations and non-governmental organizations that share a particular conception of sustainable tourism.
Through self-management of productive activities, the communities take on the role of the planning, operation, supervision and development of local tourism activities.
The RedTurs works to spread the tourism initiatives of the community, considering these activities are economically viable, socially cohesive, culturally rich and environmentally responsible.
Currently, 13 destinations in Latin American countries make up the network: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru.
